Coin Silver 1528 Hungarian King Ferdinand I Rare Historical Medieval Museum Piece

This is a rare, hard to find, even harder to obtain, medieval coin from the Hungarian kingdom of the middle ages. It was issued under the reign of King Ferdinand I. who was king of Austria and Hungary from 1526 to 1564. The coin with the king's coat of arm is in good, used condition. It is marked with the year it was minted - 1528, and with the king's name and titles.

On side of the coin shows the letters K and B surrounding the Virgin Mary patron of Hungary. That mark signify that it was minted in the thousand year old Hungarian mining and royal mint town of Kassa from Hungarian silver. Since the infamous Trianon "piece treaty" Kormoc Banya is no longer part of Hungary. As shown on the photo the coin is hand struck, like most of the coins from that time. This beautiful coin is a well made and it is used but in excellent shape for it's age. It had a substantial purchase power at it's time and as these coins were too valuable for the average citizens, they did not circulated all that much. First come first serve only one available.
