1N34 Germanium Point Contact Signal Diode Crystal Radio Fuse Type Ceramics Package

These genuine, original, vintage germanium 1N34 diodes are so rare a find, that they are the first diode listed by the Motorola Databook: The Semiconductor Data Book, Page 1-3 Second Edition, Published in 1966. Even if all diode numbers would be used to describe a bona-fide, real, approved and actually manufactured device - and they most certainly aren't - not many numbers could preceed these little gems. By their construction, these devices are the missing link on the line of evolution between a crystal detector and a real solid state diode.

In essence, these devices are a scaled down, small size, enclosed, fixed point contact crystal detectors. These historical diodes are made by Sylvania for Small Signal commercial, industrial and military signal diode applications. By current standard these devices have rather high forward voltage. Made at least forty plus years ago. These diodes have a PRV=60 V (Peak Reverse Voltage), a VF=1.0 V @ 8.5 mA (Forvard Voltage) continuous forward current and a IR=0.15 uA [micro Amps] (Reverse - Leakage Current). These are real hard to find vintage choice semiconductors. First come first serve, supply is very limited.
