2N169 Transistor NPN Germanium Amplifier Alloy Junction Historical

This is a rare find of a genuine, early, collectible, vintage, germanium 2N169 NPN transistor in a metal hermetic package in used condition. The 2N169 has a black painted steel package and tinned wire leads. These historical alloy junction units are made at the beginning of the transistor era for low frequency amplifiers and small signal industrial and commercial applications The 2N169 package is similar to the Western Electric (Bell Labs) type 5A or the GE 2N187A devices.
