EKA 2140 Three Tube Audion Radio 1940 Vintage Restoration Data Picture Schematic

In spite of its impressive look, this is a EKA 2140 was a low price, simple basic receiver, a three tube, three band radio set from 1940. It was a reflex feedback audion straight receiver without IF frequency amplification. The first tube is used as RF [Radio Frequency] and AF [Audio Frequency] amplifier. Designed to be used with a good long antenna on MW [Medium Wave] SW [Short Wave] and LW [Long Wave] it was a very dependale set. The radio is housed in a large stylish enclosure and an illuminated wide colored glass scale with the European city names marked for each strong station. This exact set was also sold by the Standard Company under the name Prima 2022.
