Banknote Currency Hungarian Hyperinflationary Note 10,000 Pengo with Bank Stamp
This Hungarian 10,000 Pengφ Note printed in July 1945 was a real small note a "modest" forerunner of future much larger denominations. At this time Hungary's inflation was accelerated to it's peek, an unheard of 9,000,000% (nine million percent) - a MONTH! Just to be sure the National Bank affixed a special stamp which multiplied the note's value. It is well to pause and to reflect on how quickly and easily governments with their reckless spending are able to ruin their country and citizenry.
