Philips 32B Three Tube Radio 1936 Vintage Set Restoration Data Picture Schematic

In spite its good look, this Philips 32B was a low price, simple, basic regenerative receiver, a three tube, single band radio set from 1936. It was a reflex audion receiver without IF frequency amplification. The first tube is used as RF [Radio Frequency] and as AF [Audio Frequency] amplifier The feedback was achieved via the rotary capacitor from the anode of the first triode KC1. Designed to be used with a good long antenna on MW [Medium Wave] and it was a very dependale set. The radio is housed in a stylish enclosure and it has an illuminated wide colored glass clock like dial with the European city names marked for each strong station. This exact set was also sold by the Telefunken Company as receiver type 340T and 341T.
