This is a Standard Super Y was a medium performance and price, average superheterodyne World Receiver, a four tube, three band radio set from 1936. It had a single IF section using a low 127 kHz for the benefit of higher gain in lower IF [Intermediate Frequency] frequencies. LW [Long Wave], MW [Medium Wave] and SW [Short Wave] was, and still is, a standard mode of operation on European radios.
