The power transformer made with taps for all the many differing line voltages of the time, from 100 VAC to 240 VAC at 50 Hz. The set used a full wave rectifier using the standard AZ4 dual diode power rectifier tube. The EK3 RF amplifier, oscillator converter followed by the EF9 IF stage and a second EAB1 IF amplifier, demodulator stage. The EF6 tube worked as an audio preamplifier. The final audio power amplifier stage used two parallel connected powerful AL3 output amplifier tubes. The EM1 magic eye tube provided visual strength and tuning indication. This set, as many others at the time, used the speaker magnet coil - marked with a G on the schematic as a power supply filter coil.
