8422 B-5991 Nixie Neon Numerical Indicator Tube Burroughs

This is an original Burroughs 8422 or B-5991 Nixie long life numerical indicator tube with ten cathodes, numerals 0-9. The tube emits a bright neon red color. These flat sided tubes were of the most popular, Burroughs Co. ever made. The B-5991 intended to be used in a 14 pin socket. Recommended operating voltage is 170 VDCmin, and 2.6 mA typical. These vintage readout tubes made in 1968 and 1969 for early large scale computers, binary and digital counters equipments and special circuits. Excellent for antique instrument restoration projects or to set up a private tube museum. This is a NOS (New Old Stock) is new (factory fresh), unused condition.
